AFTERCARE

First you must understand that there are a few different styles of permanent eyeliner to choose from. One of them being tightline, which involves adding the pigment between the layers of your eyelashes to darken your lash line. This option is a lot thinner than an eyeliner, and it’s considered very natural-looking. Then there is the traditional eyeliner the pigment is actually applied above the lash line and it’s drawn almost as if you were to put a liquid eyeliner on. This is mostly for people who wear that look on a daily basis and want the ease of not having to draw them daily. Thickness depends on the clients preference and is discussed before the procedure takes place. Lastly, we have winged eyeliner. This style is not for everyone and should be carefully selected for those that wear this style daily as it is a bold look and not suited for everyone. Pre-numb is applied to the lash lid for 20 minutes to ensure no pain. Once you get your eyeliner applied, there’s really no down time. You can leave and go about your daily tasks and even drive yourself home afterwards. The true color will be seen after three weeks. Immediately afterwards the treated area can appear swollen and even itchy. This is normal. The speed of healing depends on the skin type, so every person heals at different rates. Proper maintenance is important. After your initial appointment you will need to come back sometime between 8-12 weeks later for your final touch-up. Color boosts are suggest after so many years when the color lightens.

At the 48 hour mark with clean hands, use the soap provided and gently dab onto the brows using a paper towel. A little goes a long way very little soap is necessary for application. After you’ve finished cleansing them let them air dry. Once dry apply a pea-size amount of the tattoo cream provided onto each brow tapping very gently. You will repeat these steps once a day at night time only for five days AFTER your initial 48 hours. When scabs appear, do not pick, pull or rub them. You must be gentle to prevent scabs coming off prematurely.

Afterwards the lips will be swollen, and the skin will feel tight. Icing immediately afterwards will alleviate discomfort and bring the swelling down. This will also prevent bruising from occurring. No exercising for 5-7 days. Absolutely no picking or pulling at any scabs while lips are healing. No kissing is allowed. Your lips are essentially an open wound between the first seven days and can be easily infected. Keep the lips constantly moisturized.
