What to expect

Here’s a little insight to what to expect before you come in. Upon arrival, after I’ve reviewed your online health form you filled out I will do a mini consultation. This is where we will discuss desired shape and color. It’s not necessary, but it can be helpful to bring photos of “brow inspiration” so I can have a better understanding of your overall brow goals. Once we’ve discussed everything I will take the before photos. Next, we move forward with mapping your brows. I will measure the 3 main points of the brow and build the shape from there. I base the shape off not only where your natural hairs lay, but your brow bone structure along with taking your desired outcome in mind. An outline is created with a pencil to give you an idea of the final brow shape. From there we will look at it together and make any changes if necessary. These are your brows so you are 100% included in final decision. The color should match your natural brow hair as well as being complimentary to your skin type.
For lips, the outline process is much simpler. I will follow your natural lip line, correcting any asymmetry along the way. I do not tattoo outside of the natural lip line, unless it is corrective work & is necessary and will not surpass 2mm. Color is selected between you and I and it is suggested to come with your favorite lips gloss or lipstick for color reference.
Once we have completed your brows or lips, I will go over aftercare & send you home with a kit for the best healing experience. It takes approximately 10-14 days for the brows to heal & 3-7 days for the lips to heal. I will see you 8-10 weeks later for your follow up appointment. Once completed you’re set anywhere from 1-3 years before needing a refresher touch-up. This is would be to maintain the shape and color. You should be faded up to 60% before booking a year refresher.

•Everyone’s skin will react differently, some people are more sensitive than others.
•When looking at your finished brows, you will notice some warmth in the color & that is due to the pigments being modified to help your brows not heal too cool/ashy.
•You will also notice small white ring around your brows, that is the blanching of the skin from the numbing. That will go away when the numbing wears off.
•Lips have a tendency to swell, and sometimes can bruise. Both will subside within 24 hours.
•Even if you are not prone to cold sores/fever blisters, you can sometimes still get a breakout after your lip blush procedure.
•You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during your menstrual cycle.
•If you booked for microblading, but decided after they healed that you wanted to add some shading, we can always do that at your touchup.
•If you have previous permanent makeup from another artist, there is no guarantee that I can “touch up” or “cover up” the work, so a consultation is required before booking.
•If you have allergies, please email me and I will be happy to send you ingredient lists for each product I use.

DO NOT expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a 2 step process and it takes time.
BE PATIENT during your healing process as your brows will change and appear different from day to day.
Immediately after your procedure, your brows will appear bold and more defined as this is due to the oxidation process and will lighten as they heal. Your brow tattoo can appear more solid, and the hair strokes may seem to disappear and it may look wet and painted on. But this is all a part of the process and will lighten.
Around days 4-5 you will experience flaking and your brows may look dry. DO NOT PICK your brows, let any dryness fall off naturally. If flakes gets picked off prematurely missing hair stokes will result and cause patchy brows which can lead to scarring.
Your brow tattoo will take up to 6 weeks to fully heal under the skin. When the flaking comes off the hair strokes may seem faint this is because a fresh layer of skin has healed over the brow tattoo. Give your brows a few weeks and the hair strokes will become clearer. Color will continue to change on a daily basis until all healing is complete around the 6 week mark.
You may experience itchiness in the brows after your procedure due to the healing process of the dermal layer.
Not everyones hairstoke brows will heal clean and crisp. Hairstrokes on oilier skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery while drier skin types tend to heal more crisp and defined. Also for those who bleed more may tend to need more touchups as the blood pushes the pigment out while we tattoo.
